Trick or Treat!

This year was a little more difficult to pick a costume for Jackson. We had a hotdog costume, but he let us know very quickly he would not wear it. Then Dave brought home a dragon costume, again Jackson said no. He did not want anything on his head. I was ready to give up on the whole costume idea, until I thought of a train conductor. He would be able to wear his normal clothes!
I knew I had a winner the day the conductor hat arrived from Nana. Jackson put it on and was very excited about his train outfit. He was very happy to wear his overalls and made sure everyone new he was wearing overalls. As you can see in pictures below we were able to enjoy a few moments in his full apparel.
Jackson was very busy for his second Halloween. On Saturday afternoon, the local businesses in our neighborhood opened their doors for trick and treaters. Jackson enjoyed walking down the sidewalks and putting completely wrapped candy in his mouth. Then we attended a party with all the families from our parent group in the evening. As you can see in the picture Jackson was not interested in taking any pictures. The only timed he cried the entire evening.
On Halloween Jackson came home from daycare with a whole pumpkin full of candy after being a part of the Halloween Parade through the federal building. We ended the celebration by trick or treating down our block. The weather was perfect and Jackson enjoyed running down the sidewalk.
